Job Description
Job Title: Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)
Reporting to: Headteacher (With professional accountability to the Trust Head of SEND & Inclusion)
Salary: In line with Teachers’ Pay and Conditions, plus SEN Allowance (where applicable)
Contract: Permanent. Part-time 2.5 days a week

Start date Monday 4th January 2026 with handover sessions in December
Purpose of the Role
The SENCO is responsible for the strategic leadership, coordination, and impact of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision within the school, ensuring that pupils with SEND are identified early, supported effectively, and enabled to make strong progress within an inclusive mainstream environment.
The SENCO works in partnership with senior leaders, class teachers, support staff, families, external professionals, and the Trust to ensure statutory compliance, high-quality provision, and excellent outcomes for pupils with SEND.
This is a Non-teaching SENDCo role across two federated very small primary schools,
under Executive Leadership.
