Summer Term
May Day, Queen's Jubilee Celebrations & our School Play!
What a fabulous summer term we have had!
We were able to bring back our wonderful traditional May Day combined with celebration the Queen's Jubilee!
The children danced around the Maypole, sung for the parents and made fabulous artwork for the Jubilee.
During all of this, the children were busy rehearsing their KS2 production of Porridge and what a success it was!
Bushcraft Residential!
Purple Class spent an exciting couple of days in Boughton Woods learning survival skills and living in nature!
We spent our evenings surrounded by camp fire and sleeping in large tents.
Some of the activities we took part in included first aid, fire building, den building, survival and emergency training and lots more!
Our favourite meal was definitely pizza making and even though it was challenging being away from home, the children showed incredible courage and support to their friends!
Harry Potter Day!
What a fabulous finish to our Harry Potter topic! Blue and Purple class enjoyed a wonderful taster day for Hogwarts School after sending persuasive letters to Head Master Professor Dumbledore! First, the children were sorted into their houses by the sorting head, then a morning of potions and divination was next. Then, after blue class made wands and Purple faced a Boggart, we ended the day with some quidditch! By the end of the day, it was time to announce who won the House cup and it was... Hufflepuff!
Thank you to parents for keeping this a secret for so long, it was an amazing day and perfect ending to the end of term.
