We enjoyed finding out about Chinese New Year during the week of 8th February

We watched a film about a family preparing for Chinese New Year and visiting a parade to celebrate. This year it is the Year of the Monkey.

We moved around the hall pretending we were carrying large lanterns.

We then made our own using red card and silver paints. 

We also made small chinese dragons on lolly sticks.

We took turns at being the dragon's head and the body!

We had fun doing our own dragon dance in the hall to music.

We also performed ribbon dances with our brightly coloured ribbons.
