Polebrook C E Primary School

Blog 2020-2021

Blue class have had a great start to the term and have been doing some brilliant work!

We have been doing lots of practical maths to practice our place value.

In Science this term we are learning about electricity. The children have been tasked with inventing a machine that would be useful during WW2 and they are going to present them to Polebrooks own version of Dragons Den.

We started thinking about the kinds of things that may come in handy and began by looking at Alan Turing and his Enigma machine. We then looked at Morse Code and how that was also important during WW2. The children had a go at making their own Morse code machine and practised sending secret messages to each other.

As part of our WW2 topic the children have been creating some amazing art using collage and pencil techniques. They are absolutely fantastic!
