Spring 2019
Big Schools' Bird Watch 2019
Purple Class spend their time at Forest School armed with binoculars in order to spot and count birds for the RSPB Schools Birdwatch. We set up 3 stations in different open locations around the forest and sat quietly and waited…
It wasn’t long before the birds came. We spotted a variety of birds from Blue Tits, Great Tits and a Goldfinch on the feeders to Blackbirds, Robins, Collared Doves and a soaring Red Kite.
We even had a few guidebooks to help us work out which type of bird it might be.
A good session was had by all, especially those who tried to commando creep towards the birds to get a closer look, and we look forward to doing a bird count again next year.
