Forest Schools
Polebrook School is a Forest School. We think outdoor learning is very important for developing motivated and enthusiastic children and find that our Forest School work impact significantly on our standards. We have two fully trained forest school leaders who plan and deliver a range of exciting activities for our children.
Our children love visiting our local forest every week. Have a look in our gallery to see some of the exciting things we have been up to this year.
These are some of things some of our children said about Forest School:
"On my first day there, i thought it was fun. I like the hammock and I like playing hide and seek and 1,2,3 Where are you..?"
"Building the giant bird nest was a big thing to do. It was so much fun. We sat in it and pretended to be birds."
"We had some lard and we had to find a stick. Mrs Speirs bought some seed and we made bird feeders. We attached them onto a tree. Next time we went to Forest School all the bird seed had gone."
"Forest School, it's my favourite lesson. The fairy was in my tree. he was trying to get the king's crown back. the fairy gave the king a gift. the fairies live in the woods."
