Summer Term
Rakou Inoue Inspired Artworks
FK class have been looking at the artist Raku Inoue who uses natural materials to create minibeast. He makes the most beautiful artwork using petals, leaves and twigs. We spent the morning gathering resources and created our own minibeasts. They are AMAZING! All the children were so inspired!
Minibeast Diorama
Check out our amazing minibeast diorama! Each section represents a different minibeast habitat. At the bottom we have the underground full of worms and ants. Next is the ground level with snails, earwigs and spiders. After that we have the grass and flowers full of bees and caterpillars. At the top we have the sky with its beautiful butterflies and bees. We are very proud of our creation!
Sacrewell Farm Visit
What a wonderful day we had a Sacrewell Farm as part of our Marvellous Minibeast topic. We found lots of aquatic minibeasts while we were pond dipping and even caught a baby stickleback fish! It was brilliant to get out and be such Explorasuaruses.
