Flicker the Fairy
Green Class returned after the Christmas break to find a mysterious trail of glitter. We suspected it was magic fairy dust.

We were correct! Flicker the fairy had written asking for our help. There had been a disaster in Fairy Land and their castle had been destroyed.
We wrote back immediately and started planning a new castle in our role-play area. Many letters have been sent and received since then. Fortunately the new castle and post office is now complete and ready to use.

Doctor's Surgery
“Not feeling well! Come and book an appointment at Green Classes Doctor’s Surgery”.
All of the children in the class have enjoyed our role play area being a doctor’s surgery this term. We have booked appointments, tested patients for various ailments, taken x-rays and given out medicines, as well as making many notes and investigating parts of our bodies.

Polebrook Church Visit
Green Class enjoyed an exciting visit to Polebrook Church with Rev Cathy. We have been learning about special places and have been finding out about the special features and objects within a church, and how they are used. Rev Cathy took us to different parts of the church and explained about how these things help Christians to worship God. We used all our senses – we heard the clock ticking, we smelled incense burning, tasted some of the bread used in communion and saw the font, lectern, pulpit and the enormous bible. We then got to touch some of these objects too. We learned so much about our church in Polebrook. “Thank you Rev Cathy!”
