Trip to the National Space Centre
On Monday, MILK class took a trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester.
The purpose of our trip was to consolidate our learning of our Earth and Space unit from Term 1.
There were lots of hands on experiences where the children could experience mission control, taking off in a rocket and even test their skills ready to become an astronaut. The children tested their heart rate whilst climbing up over 150 steps to reach the top of the rocket, this was not for the faint hearted!
We finished our day with a rest in the planetarium where we took a trip to the various planets in our solar system putting our knowledge of the planets to the test.
It was a fabulous day and the children represented Polebrook incredibly well.
