Polebrook Eco Club launched a brand-new eco initiative
This week, Polebrook Eco Club launched a brand-new eco initiative — setting up a composting wormery!
Eco were fascinated as they learned how worms can help turn food waste into nutrient-rich compost.
With excitement and curiosity, they explored how the wormery works and how it can make a real difference to our environment.
Classroom food waste bins are now being used to collect suitable scraps, which will be fed to the worms regularly. The children are taking an active role in monitoring the process, eager to see how their leftovers can become something useful for the garden.
The project has sparked great enthusiasm, with children looking forward to taking care of the worms and embracing this new eco-challenge.
It’s a small step that’s making a big impact — teaching responsibility, sustainability, and the power of nature’s recyclers!
