DA class to Rockingham Castle
David Attenborough Class had an unforgettable visit to the historic Rockingham Castle. As they explored the grand old building, the children were able to identify many fascinating features, from arrow slits in the stone walls to towering battlements. They were especially amazed by the impressive castle kitchen and the grand feast on display, which gave them a real sense of how people lived long ago.
Outside, the adventure continued with a stroll past the quirky Elephant Hedge and a peaceful woodland walk. The scent of the blooming rose garden added a magical touch to the day. But the highlight for everyone was definitely the spooky dungeon—dark, cold, and just scary enough to make it thrilling! It was a day full of learning, excitement, and stories they won’t soon forget.
