KS2 Athletics Success
Fri 11 Oct 2019Polebrook and Glapthorn attended an RLT athletics event at Corby Athletics Track with 5 other RLT schools where all children in Key Stage 2 were able to spend the day taking part in all kinds of athletic activities.
Each child was able to have a go at all activities which included running, long jump, obstacle courses and throwing.
It was lovely to see Glapthorn and Polebrook cheering each other and being incredibly supportive of one another as well as cheering the other RLT schools.
I am proud to say the children of Polebrook did very well in each event winning lots of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places! Congratulations to these children and all of our children who tried so very hard and gave it their best in each event.
Some of the children said yesterday was one of the best days of their lives and it was evident through the participation and fun the children had all day. It was a great opportunity to bond with our trust schools and we look forward to the next one!

Arts Festival at Northampton Derngate
Wed 19 Jun 2019Last night, members of Purple and Blue class took part in the NMPAT Arts Festival at the Derngate theatre in Northampton.
Schools from all over the county performed original pieces from musical theatre, dance and instrumental acts and ending with all the children coming together for a mass finale.
The event was truly spectacular. Over 600 children performed last night and another 600 this evening.
Our children were in awe watching the performances and were so proud to be part of such an incredible event.
The small group who represented Polebrook were fabulous ambassadors of our school. Their performance was flawless and they truly excelled. Other schools commented on the impact of their performance and were astonished of how well they told the story of being bullied.
A huge thank you to Emma for choreographing an incredible dance piece and to our parents for supporting such a wonderful opportunity for our children. Events like this are so inspiring and so uplifting for the children.

The children formed two teams consisting of Glapthorn and Polebrook pupils.
They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was a real joy to see all the children bonding and working hard as a team.
This was an after school event and was great to see so many children giving up their time to represent the school and of course parents for your continued support.
The children have now all got the tag rugby 'bug'! and have asked to have a KS2 Polebrook Tag Rugby tournament in the summer.
