• A busy last day of this half term.....................

  We had a wonderful Harvest Celebration Service at Polebrook Church this morning. Each class shared a performance which included singing songs, playing ukuleles and rapping!

   

  Thank you so much for all your donations which will go to Oundle Food Bank.

   

  FK class had a 'When I grow up' day and all dressed up for the rest of the day.

  We had a vet, astronaut, mechanic, policeman, monster truck driver, gamer, pilot with the aeroplane! and naturally a princess!

   

  For our fabulous finish of our Evolution topic, MLK have been investigating Darwin’s finches.

  We looked at how different beaks have adapted in order to eat different seeds depending on the Galapagos Island the finches were found on.

  This was a clear way of recognising Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection.

  

• Success at the RLT Spelling Bee final

  A huge congratulations to two of our children who made it through to the final of the RLT Spelling Bee final. One representing Year 1 and another representing Year 4.

   

  The nerves were high, but they were both fantastic and they did Polebrook School proud.

   

  A huge well done to our Year One pupil who came first out of the eleven schools in the trust- what a star!

   

  We are so very proud of you both!
