Trip to the National Space Centre
Fri 28 Nov 2025On Monday, MILK class took a trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester.
The purpose of our trip was to consolidate our learning of our Earth and Space unit from Term 1.
There were lots of hands on experiences where the children could experience mission control, taking off in a rocket and even test their skills ready to become an astronaut. The children tested their heart rate whilst climbing up over 150 steps to reach the top of the rocket, this was not for the faint hearted!
We finished our day with a rest in the planetarium where we took a trip to the various planets in our solar system putting our knowledge of the planets to the test.
It was a fabulous day and the children represented Polebrook incredibly well.

Science Ambassadors
Wed 26 Nov 2025Last week our science ambassadors attended their first science day at Kings Cliffe Primary.
It was a great day and the children worked with children from our local schools to create balloon cars and a giant brain!
They showed great resilience and teamwork and represented our school brilliantly!
We are looking forward to them putting on a science club this term to share what they learnt.

Money was raised by a non uniform day, disco, MLK organised some games, the Children in Need Duck Race and the sale of pudsey goods.
An incredible amount was raised by our small school of £227.25
Thank you everyone that participated and donated for your generosity, as always Polebrook was awesome.
