  • Frida Kahlo class went on a visit to Ashby Asparagus Farm in Polebrook.

    Mon 20 May 2024

To finish off this term's topic of Growing - Frida Kahlo class went on a visit to Ashby Asparagus Farm in Polebrook.

The children were delighted to be shown all the huge machinery and were even allowed to sit in their brand new tractor.

Mike Ashby was kind enough to guide us all round the farm and taught us how wheat is grown and showed us where it was dried off.

We went home with some lovely asparagus although some of it didn't make it home as some of the children loved the taste of it fresh and raw and munched it straight away!

  • Two teams enter the Schools' Triathlon

    Fri 17 May 2024

A huge congratulations to two teams of Polebrook children who took part in the Schools' Triathlon in Oundle last Sunday.

One from MLK and the other from SW.

On probably the hottest day of the year so far, they all had to swim 50m, bike 1000m and run 750m and they had been busy raising money for the charities involved.

One comment from a parent 'It was such a wonderful day and such a lovely memory for them all to have. They all had such great team spirit and support for one another which was such an amazing quality to see'

You are awesome and a huge well done from everyone at school, we are super proud of you all.
