  • Blue Class residential visit to Aylmerton 2018

    Mon 19 Mar 2018

Blue Class have recently returned from their residential trip at the Aylmerton centre in Norfolk. Although the weather was not always kind to us, we had amazing time.

On arrival, we quickly viewed our accommodation and dorms, and ate our packed lunches before heading off to Cromer. We visited the museum to learn about the lives of local fishermen and their families and discover more about local rocks and fossils including the West Runton elephant.

We then explored the pier and spent a short time investigating the beach. Later after a delicious dinner, we set off on our twilight safari to experience the clear starry constellations and nocturnal wildlife.

Our second day was “pirate activities” and we headed off for physical and team challenges including climbing walls, low ropes and zip wires. We certainly were challenged by the weather too! However, after a change of clothing and another warming meal, we enjoyed some fun and entertainment at the ten-pin bowling centre.

The sun was shining on the morning of our last day. We were excited as we were going on a boat trip over to Blakeney point.  We explored the sand dunes and looked for wildlife. After a picnic lunch, we boarded the boat again and went in search of the seals.

We were lucky enough to see many on the beach including one swimming near our boat. Later we disembarked at Morston, then walked along the coast path to Blakeney village. After a short time, exploring Blakeney and saying our “Goodbyes and Thank yous” to the leaders from the Aylmerton centre, it was time to catch the coach home.  Well done to Year 3 and 4, you were a pleasure to be with and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time in Norfolk.

Please see the Photo Gallery for further photos.

  • 'Nene' at Peterborough Cathedral

    Mon 19 Mar 2018

On Saturday, 17th March a group of Y 4,5 & 6 pupils took part in a performance of 'Nene' at Peterborough Cathedral.

This was the culmination of a project in collaboration with NMPAT, local schools and the composer Benjamin Till. Our children, and Mr Middleton, were thrilled to be performing alongside more than 500 children and young people from schools in Peterborough, Rutland and the Oundle cluster and musicians from a range of County Youth ensembles. We were privileged to be given places very close to the County Youth Orchestra so we got the chance to see exactly how an orchestra works.

    Well done everyone!

  • Polebrook School Christmas Party

    Wed 20 Dec 2017

Another amazing day at Polebrook Primary School and the children have had a great time at the party, with lots of party food donated- thank you.

After lunch the children then had a surprise visit from a very special and soon to be very busy gentleman, Father Christmas who kindly brought gifts for the classrooms.

Party games were then played within the classrooms before another treat.

    Reindeers!

Two reindeers came to school and the children got to learn all about these special animals.

Thank you to Woodbine Reindeers for bringing them in to school and to the elves for your help!

  • Hey Ewe!

    Mon 18 Dec 2017

‘Hey Ewe’- the Christmas story as seen through the eyes of a curious sheep!

After lots of rehearsing and lines memorised, the day of the performances had finally arrived and the last two days have seen our Early Years and KS1 shine in front of a packed audience.

The children had lots of fun entertaining you with their version of the nativity and were in good voice singing the fun songs.

Well done to all of our children you were brilliant!
