  • New Beats Concert

    Fri 17 Mar 2017

Polebrook were very lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy a concert by the New Beats band who are one of the NMPAT recital teams.

The band consisted of musicians playing the drums, bass, guitar, piano and a fantastic singing performing some well known songs whilst asking the children if they spotted any changes they had made to the songs. The children really enjoyed listening to the music and there was certainly some dancing and singing along in the audience!

After the concert, Purple Class attended a workshop with the band where they created their own song using a music app to record vocals and instruments. It was a fantastic experience and we are hoping they return soon!

  • World Book Day

    Fri 10 Mar 2017

Many characters visited Polebrook School last week as many children (and staff) dressed up for World Book Day.

There were lots of our favourite book characters as well as some characters who children wished were in stories.

Our activity for the day was to create a story from a piece of music and work in groups of all different age groups to form a book. It was very challenging yet the children came up with some fantastic stories with genres including mystery, suspense, adventure and sci-fi. The children and the staff really enjoyed working with each other and our new stories currently reside in the library for everybody to enjoy.

More photos of World Book Day can be viewed in the Gallery.

  • Warwick Castle

    Wed 01 Mar 2017

Our younger children enjoyed a wonderful day out at Warwick Castle. Their day included the Bowman show, a Birds of Prey demonstration and the Kingmaker exhibition of castle life for peasants and nobility.
