We were very lucky to have a Health Visitor tell us about her job.

It was very interesting.

The Health Visitor looks after the mummy as well as the baby.

She meets the family and helps them settle with their new baby. She answers questions the mummy or daddy might have about baby injections and keeping the baby safe and well.

She checks the baby when it is 10-14 days old, and asks the mummy about how well the baby is feeding and sleeping. 

We saw a real baby being weighed too.

We saw the special measuring mat, which the baby lies on to see how long it is.

The baby and mummy get a bag with books and rhymes to share with the baby.
