Kids of Steel
On Wednesday 4th May Key stage 2 joined with Easton School to take part in the TATA Kids of Steel triathlon in Corby,
It was a very exciting event which enabled children to get a taste for what it is like to take part in a triathlon.
Firstly, the children took part in a short swim at Corby swimming pool and quickly needed to get changed at the side of the pool to get running. It was very fast paced and there wasn't even time to dry off after swimming!
Once the children were running they then needed to cycle along the main road, ending with a sprint across the finish line. All children recieved a medal and Kids of Steel kit. The children enjoyed participating and were keen to take part in future triathlons and events. Afterwards we were able to try out other sporting activities including cheerleading, kickboxing and golf. Overall it was an excellent day!
